Creating A Suitable Brand Identity for the brand new Business
branding by Bill Casey Consutling Atlanta, GA

Branding of a new pharmaceutical
distribution company in Atlanta, GA.

Giving your new company a smart-looking brand image helps build confidence in the minds of your would-be customers that they are dealing with a professional company. It is important, for sure. But not critically important.

My advice for start-ups is to invest the appropriate amount of resources into your brand-image, but don't get carried away with it. A new business needs more attention on new customer acquisition than it does on its tagline. Lay a solid foundation with your initial brand, but expect to revisit it after a year or so. You'll have a better feel for what customers view as truly unique about your business then. And you'll likely be surprised to find its quite different than what you initially thought.

This is not to say, however, you can completely chince on your initial brand image though. That would be like sending your child off to his first day of school decked out in Salvation Army.

I'm here to help make you look as good as possible on almost any budget.

Re-Branding An Existing Business For A Better Fit

Despite the best laid plans, things change. Markets crash. Trends fade. What we start out thinking our business will be oftentimes looks nothing like the business that has actually emerged. The effect is all too clear on brands usually created within the first 3 months of a business' opening. Just look around - disconnected brand identities are all around us.

If your brand doesn't fit your business anymore, change it. Clinging onto an identity that isn't working for your business can be a costly mistake. I'm not suggesting that changing your brand should be something that can be taken lightly or an exercise you indulge in every year until you "get it right".

When your brand needs refreshing, you'll know it the same way you know when a relationship is no longer working. In your gut. Instead of prolonging the inevitable, contact me about re-branding your business.
